In a sea of skilled high school athletes, it can be difficult to get noticed. Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors knows exactly how that feels. He may be a three-time NBA champion and two-time NBA MVP now, but in high school, Curry was under-appreciated and underrated. When Curry graduated from high school in 2005, he was a three-star prospect who hadn't received any recognition as an all-star basketball player. But he didn't let that stop him from playing the game he loved. Over the next few years, Curry played hard and made believers of everyone who passed him up. There is little doubt now that Curry is a force to be reckoned with, and he wants to give the same opportunities and optimism to high school basketball players who are overlooked and underrated, just like he once was. And that's why Curry has launched the Underrated Tour. The Underrated Tour is committed to providing young basketball players with the opportunity to show coaches and scouts across the country what they are made of and the potential they possess. Starting in January 2019, the Underrated Tour will embark on a journey of seven stops across the U.S. to give these three-star prospects the chance to launch the next step in their basketball journey of turning doubters into believers.
