Ever put in the wrong passcode on your iPhone a few too many times? There are two ways to reset the passcode, and both involve erasing and restoring your iPhone. First up, erase your phone wirelessly. On that "wrong passcode" screen, hit “Erase iPhone” and enter your Apple ID password. After erasing, follow the setup steps to restore from a backup. Another option is to use your computer to restore your iPhone in Recovery Mode. Power off your iPhone and connect it with a USB cable to your Mac or PC while holding a specific button (varies by iPhone model, see video). Once you see the Recovery Mode screen, use Finder or iTunes, depending on your OS, to connect with your iPhone and follow the prompts on your screen. If your iPhone leaves the recovery mode mid-process, let the download finish, turn off your iPhone and start again. Then restore from a backup, either from iCloud or your computer.
